Grossest Horror Films I Will (Probably) Never Watch Again

As horror fans, we know what we are signing up for. Regardless, even the most seasoned audiences have limits. Horror does not typically make me squeamish (I am partial to slashers), but I have come across several that truly grossed me out. Let me know in the comments what you would add to the list!

***

Suspiria (1977)

Honestly, I rewatch Suspiria by the great Dario Argento all the time. But that one scene…that one scene with the *situation* above the dormitories is skipped every. Single. Time. I just can’t put myself through that again.

Possession (1981)

Way too many ambiguous, bodily fluids. I’ll forgive that since this is such a horror classic.

Audition (1999)

The only movie (so far) that has ever made me dry-heave.

If you really want to know…it was the part with the dog bowl.

Found (2012)

The movie watched by the horror-obsessed protagonist is even more nauseating than Found itself.

Tusk (2014)

This movie is not as gross in the literal sense as it is disgusting to the human soul. I still don’t know why I purchased it after watching it the first time. It’s not like I plan to watch it again.

A Cure for Wellness (2016)

Eels. All I can remember are the eels.

The Platform (2019)

This Spanish horror film symbolizing the greed of the upper class is as emotionally sickening as it is physically.

Crimes of the Future (2022)

Spontaneously-growing organs and surgery as performance art? Not for me.

Terrifier 2 (2022)

Undoubtedly the most repulsive movie I have ever seen (so far). Physically, mentally, emotionally. Bravo, Terrifier team.

Until next time,
