I have been posting a lot lately, but I just wanted to say: Happy Halloween, everyone!
Or Samhain, Day of the Dead, Saturday, whatever you are celebrating!
This has been a rough year, right? I have been very fortunate, but I have felt it, too. When we first went into pandemic lockdown in Ohio, I went into full Halloween celebration mode. My main reason: why not? The world is a mess, but we can still put our energy into things that make us happy, regardless of what the calendar says.
So, with that being said: don’t feel guilty about enjoying things. I for one will continue to keep my home decorated for Halloween, stuff my face with candy, drink apple cider, read scary books, and watch spooky movies and television specials for as long as I feel like it, because why not? It’s harmless and makes me happy. I’m sure many of you who follow this blog feel the same way, so keep on celebrating this most magical time of year for as long as you wish!
I also want to thank you for an awesome first month of this blog! I cautiously started this venture out of my love of horror and my love of writing. It makes me so happy to see people enjoying what I post, and I hope I don’t let you down anytime soon. There is much more to come, and I am very excited to keep working and creating. I have always been the weird kid, and I have never wanted to be anyone else. Thank you for supporting my love of all things dark and strange.
Wear a mask, wash your hands, stay spooky, and don’t forget to vote!
Until next time,
Jordan
